4.6 swap
i was going to try and find a lightning setup for my 89 lx but instead i found a 2000 gt complete motor, 5 speed, rear, etc, has 32000 miles on it, just wondering what else i need to do the swap? do i need the dash harness and gauges? do i need to change the firwall? just checking before i do it, i got the setup for 250 bucks from a local u pull it, so its kind of hard not to! thanks for your info

RE: 4.6 swap
Why cant I ever find deals like that [:@]
I would get everything you can off the car that I could to make the swap easier. Get the computer and computer wiring harness, the clutch pedal and all the clutch components. I dont think you will have to do anything to the firewall, mabey buy a set of motor mounts that will allow you to mount the 4.6 in the 89. You might not need all of this, but it would be good to have just in case.
I have not done this swap myself, but these are things you need to get when doing any swap with a motor and trans that wasnt originally designed to be in the car.
Good luck on the swap, take lots of pictures and post them on here as you go
