JLT Ram Air System

RE: JLT Ram Air System
I use the JLT and it works unlike the BBK I tried. Fitment is tight but mine fit fine. Just remember to angle the coupler for the MAF and filter towads the front of the car. I had mine too much straight down and had to change it as the filter would have hit the inner fender. I registered a .15 increase and .9MPH on a passport timer, same road and similar conditions. This unit really works. A good buy. mark

RE: JLT Ram Air System
I have the March Ram Air kit and it's pretty good. It's made for the stock box, but can be pretty easily adapted to a CAI. The two downsides I've found are: 1) You have to trim your front fascia so removal will leave an awkward gap and 2) the extreme amount of road debris picked up by the system since it sits under the bumper. I basically use the scoop to put the cold air into the area of the filter and don't have it sealed up for that reason.

Well you asked if there was something better and I think the CAI is. Both the filter and MAF are outside the engine compartment. JLT makes no claim about the RAI. I am sure it is still a quality piece but I try to get the coolest air in as possible. mark

Well, I run the P51 intake so no fitment issues. I have read that on stock intakes, the pipe will rub on the strut housing.
