Anyone know about these...?

Does anyone have any knowledge about these roots blowers. They are a nice bang for the buck if you opt not to get the install kit and just buy everything separately. If anyone who has any knowledge about install and compatibility with pi heads or even non pi heads could post back. Thanks.

RE: Anyone know about these...?
there's two versions. One is for the non pi heads, part number is xxx462. The second is for pi heads, part number xxx463. I've seen a small article about the dyno in a book, but I havent actually ever seen anyone who has one on the street. any other info on it...

RE: Anyone know about these...?
that would suck only 55 hp with what 4lbs of boost maybe 5psi ?????????????? you figure that blower would be just as good if not better than the eaton m90 since it is an aftermarket upgrade and not a stock production piece

RE: Anyone know about these...?
the blower makes 9psi max on the stock pulley. On a pi motor with long tubes and open exhaust, electric water pump, 30 lb injectors, and a decent tune, they made ballpark 360 hp/360 tq. I'll post the actual figures in a little bit-I don't have the book on me. With a smaller puller, boost was at a max 11 pounds. The gain in power brought it to about 385, and tq was just over 400, but anything smaller would have been working against itself becuase of the size of the blower. Also during regualr driving, the stock pulley makes around 5-6 psi and after 4500, full boosts sets in. Same goes for the smaller pulley...although boost is around 8-9 and then hits 11 at full throttle.
The 55 hp gain is for the non pi heads

The non-pi mod gains are 55hp with the stock 6-8psi pulley. It's alot of money for only 55hp, but if you upgrade pulleys you can get 85-90 hp. That's worth it because you don't have to tear your whole engine apart to do a head swap to get 45hp. I think they have a 3 year warranty on them? but not too sure.

i cant understand how probably half of the people that mod these cars supercharge them, yet there is no one running around with one of these. Makes you second guess before you spend a few thousand

RE: Anyone know about these...?
I got the specs for the motor and everything... stock motor-kooks long tubes, 36lb injectors, electric water pump, and FAST engine mgmt...engine made 298/345 stock at the crank. The blower is a Eaton M90 6.8 MAX psi after 5000rpm...4.5 to 5 lbs for most of the rpm range. At this boost, motor made 383/395. They then went from a 3.6 to a 3.4 pulley. They also added a 70 mm tb. The car now made 8.9 max psi and was 6.5 below 5000rpm. The motor then made 406/417 at the crank with the upped boost and tb. Seems like a pretty good increase for a blower that size. So there are the numbers-is it believable or does everyone still think this blower is a waste of time?

i think it looks sexy, keeps the stock look sorda. no intercooloer, and would be impossible to run one, thats the only downside i see.
wonder what the #'s are down low....
and it seems like it has to 'pull air in' instead of having it 'pushed in, along with air being pulled in'. dunno if thats good or bad.
