Hey i havet his annoying clicking, popping type sound when i give my car gas from a stop , sounds like its coming from under the center console somewhere around the shift lever from the transmission. i had this sound start shortly after a tranny rebuild that i had. the transmission is working fine i just have no idea where this sound is coming from. it also happens if i go over a nice size bump sort of like something is loose but what could be loose? any ideas?

the u joints on the drive shaft just somthin you may want to check

actually i had both of those replaced a few months ago.

I know you said you had them replaced, but mine starting doing the same thing you are describing right after a clutch job.
I replaced them 2 months ago and one of them is clicking again. (stupid chinese crap, I should have spent the extra $10 and got the good ones, lol)
