I was pondering a path to forced induction and saw that some centrifugal superchargers come with blow-off valves. I was wondering what these sounded like? I know what a turbo blow-off valve sounds like, but wasn't sure if this would be the same.

Ive got a buddy that has one in his 05 GT. He makes 480 rwhp and 525 trq so he does alright but anyways hes got a centri. with a blow off just like a turbo. It sounds exactly the same to me. Just you know how it goes, Centri chargers are really noisy so you hear that spool up and whine and then blow off instead of the turbo spool up sound. A few ppl have asked him if its turbo but most ppl know what a s/c sounds like and imo you have to be stupid to think the whine of a s/c sounds like a turbo lol

yeah a guy i know in my town has a 05 GT with a vortech and blowoff valve. one day he was behind me so i reved it at a light and he did like a 5k rev and all you heard was a mix of exhaust/supercharger then at the end was the WOOOOOSH (hard to recreate in text.....). anyway it sounded sick so i ofcourse floor it out of the light and he passes me like im standing still, it was sweet.

Where would a man find a blow off valvle for a centrifigual s/c? I don't believe I have ever seen one. I'd like to invest.
