i would say the 97 i don't think the 5.0s made much power stock

89 5.0 is rated at 225 hp and 300 tq from the factory, so you can go from there.

anyone else? by the way the 97 is mine and the 89 is my friends and we r gonna race and i want to know what to expect. he has been taklkin a lot of **** that he's gonna smash my car.

the 5.0 is lighter and has more tq so should put the 97 in the rear view. You really need to get some gears and a 99-04 head/cam/intake swap then you will rape basically stock 5.0's like your friends.

i thought he might take me but all i need is the full exhaust im getting in a couple months and i will beat him then if i get gears i will rape him. i don't need the head cam and intake swap to beat him.
