Well ive decided on the fr500 anthricite rims for my 04, but i cant decided to go with 17s or 18s are there any draw backs to a bigger rim, i for one am not into big wheels on cars...espacially muscle cars...no rice for me...i have seen some saleen's, and cobras with 18's on them and they look rather great, does anyone have any pictures of 99-04 mustangs with 18x10 and 18x9 FR500's and also 17x9.5 and 17x10.5 fr500s, the smaller (17") wheel would allow me to run a wider tire, 315...but would i be able to run a 315 on a 10" wide rim or is the half of an inch really needed??

Btw i will be once again going with the BFG G-force KD dry tire, as i loved my old set

BTW 18s look better IMO

Most people on here run a smaller rim size just because of the price for tires... Go tire shopping and see the difference that 1" can make.

Hey... I went through the same thing when I bought my wheels.. Well here it is straight to ya... 18s look better. I have 17 x9s and 17 x 10.5s with 245 /45s and 285/40s but wish I had went with 18s...
There is not alot of difference, but they look sweet as 18s..If your into savin cash money on tires, or runnin 315s then you might want 17s, you wont be dissapointed with either though... anyway.. i have a few pics :

I went with the 18x9 and 18x10 combo. I love it! Looks great and once I lower it, the car will look sick, IMO. The 285 tire I have on the 18x10 is too small. The next set I am going to go with a 305, that should do the trick. Hope this helps you out.
