Default Newbie Needs Some Help

Hi
This is my first Mustang and I have a few questions?
How can I tell which transmission is in my car T-5 /T45/Tremec3650 etc its an 02 GT
Which aftermarket shot throw shifter is best by opinion.
I put 17 x 9 Cobra style wheels on it and that came with 255/45's they look way to small on the rims. How big of a tire can I put on the 9"wheels?

definetly the MGW short throw, tremec 3650 transmission, 275's maybe 295's would wrap pretty good

You can tell which transmission you have by looking at the code on the driver side door area. Being a 2002 GT, I would have to say it is going to be the 3650. I have the Steeda Tri-ax shifter and like it a lot. I have heard very good things about the MGW short throw shifter as well, so either would be a good choice I would assume. On my 18x9 rims that I have up front, I have 265/35/18 tires on them. They fit fine, but a 275 would be better. Hope this helps.

Get a MGW short throw... Best on the market.
You could technically run a 315 series tire on the 9" rim, but 275's would look very good and function as well.

MGW is what I have and was highly recommended here. I can't speak of other shifters but I absolutely love my MGW.

So you wanna be heard? Just cut your muflers off! Ok this is what you need to do. Re recently just did a big discussion and poll about exhaust so look back in the pages for it. Its called like "end it all" or "this should end it all" or something like that. That will tell you a lot about what we all think.
