Default New Upgraded PI Intake Install

Well I'm currently in the process of putting the newer style PI intake on with the upgraded coolant reservoir runner. Just thought I'd share some pics of the removal. Damn I've never had her that naked, lol. The new intake will be in tomorrow. I've also got the new pulley for the S/C. I'm looking to get her re-dynotuned by the weeks end and I'll relay the new HP and TQ numbers.

yeah I made sure I bough it from RPMOUTLET. lol NOT.

It's just the new version of the PI Intake with the new upgraded Aluminum Crossover Tube.
And yeah it's nice and dry under there. Although I did find a BOLT, that's right a BOLT underneath it when I took the intake out. I was like WTF is that, lol. As I look towards the back of the block, that bolt goes towards the top of the transmission into the block, lol. I threaded here back it and tightened it down. I'm just glad I didn't have any problems.

Also I'll take a pic before I install it.

On my 98 there is some metal tube that goes from the exhaust manifold to the throttle body, thats why I had to take off my alternator. Must be different on the new edges...

Your engine compartment is spotless! I can understand why you win those car shows. Looks good man

Nope wasn't any metal tube there at all. And thanks for the comments on the engine. Hopefully by tonight after work I'll get the new intake on it.

Should have got the Typhoon intake, granted it doesnt add HP and costs alot more, but it would have added to the chrome look youve got goin.
