Anyone have the typhoon??

RE: Anyone have the typhoon??
I have heard nothing good about the typhoon. You have to spin your engine past what the stock block can do just to get the gain. I have heard of no gain on a NA car and a loss on forced induction cars. It has bad casting and needs alot of work before installing it. I have also heard of it leaking coolant. Waste of $500-$600 IMO.

The only reason i would buy that is for the same reason, really, you buy a CAI and that's to have a piece of shiney chrome under your hood. Its like with the bullett intake manifold they actually lost power in testing on a N/A GT. The bullet works best when you're working with a forced induction application. Personally id you dont want to spend too much money and are thinking about forced induction go with the bullet intake otherwise just leave it alone. If you have the big $$$ then go with the P51, forced induction or not its the best.

I agree that there are definate gains to be had on a FI car though, but usually only if you get a decent port job on the sucker too.
