2003 Cobra engine, trans, and ecu swap
Hey, I recently ran into a deal with a local salvage yard that deals with mainly sports cars, and for $750 I can get a 2003 cobra engine, 6-speed transmission, and ecu in perfect condition with only 7k on them, I will need to trade my current 4.6L 2v engine and tremec 5-speed transmission to get the deal. These guys aren't trying to con me either, I know them personally and am friends with them. So I was wondering besides the engine, tranny, and ecu what else will I need to make this engine swap happen? Please don't tell me to trade my car for a cobra, or buy a supercharger for my current engine, as that is not possible right now. I know of a local shop that will do the swap for fairly cheap, they mainly specialize in spoon engines, but would like to get in to more domestic muscle cars. I'm only 18 and have had my car for less than 6 months, so I'm relatively new at this. Please help me the other parts i need. Thanks.

that deal is to good to be true...but you will need the drive shaft, transmission mounts i think, gauge cluster, engine wiring harness, tranny wiring harness, cobra h pipe, and other various things which vary from car to car. personally i wouldnt do it because it will take away all the value in your car since it is a saleen

Too good to be true - no way could that be for real - no salvage yard in their right mind would sell 1/10'th of that for that price. Sorry, better be sure to pay upon pickup

The too good to be true were my thoughts exactly, so I checked agasin and that price was justa for the engine with the whole works the price will be more like $1500 not installed. But yeah it still does sound way to cheap to be true, but I am trading my stuff in for it. So thanks for the people who replied with the stuff I will need, please post more stuff if it is needed. I'm gonna check this stuff out a lot more before I buy it. Also, in response to nomocobra, my car was in a wreck (thats how I bought it) and now has a rebuilt title, so the value isn't anywhere near where a normal 2001 saleen is.
