Default Need some help deciding on rims, post pics if you have them

I have a 2000 performance red GT and i wanna trash the skinny, ugly stock rims. I just can't decide on what rims i like the best, i like the way 18's look over 17's, but i also want a rim i can put really wide meats on. I just dont know if it's worth sacrificing the .5" in width and go for 18's, or get the extra half inch and go with 17's so i can put on 315's. Please post whatever pics you have that might help me out. Preferably on a red GT. Thanks

Go to ebay and do a search for Mustang chrome rims. Can't berat chrome if you can afford them. If you can find a saleen type at 17" they look like a larger wheel due to theur style and you may get the 9" and 10.5" needed for wide tires. I ended up getting a Bullitt style, light silver center, machined lips, 17"x9"/10.5" and went with Sumitomo's(sp) from the rack and got 275/40's up front and 315/35's out back. Same height as my stock 245/45's and with the power I am making now I need all of those 315's and could use more! A Brenspeed cuatom tune turned my car around, WOW! OH, I got the wheels for $399. as 1 place keeps running them and no bidders. Skip the buy it now and then add their Bullitt shaped lugs later for $53. shipped. Shipping on the rims was $85. and they are not as heavy as I thought. Saved 10lbs. from a set of 17"x8" Saleens. mark

hey, I have a set of 03-04 Mach 1's looking for a new home. 17x8, but they'd look good on your car...
