Default nitrous decisions

ok i just got a hefty paycheck from a rich aunt and am looking at nitrous systems for a basically stock motor. Reason being is that its a daily driver and i want something i can take out when its not in use. I was looking into Venom and Nitrous Express. What would you guys recommend, its a pretty stock motor (auto, 97 gt) with cold air, wires, 40 series flow's. Thanks

I like the nitrous express=NX. [sm=nxsmile.gif] It is the only one that rates its shot at rear wheel hp. I would only get a 75 shot unless you get a tuner so you can retard your timing a bit. Also look into some colder spark plugs. Hope this helps. Have fun you will love it any way you go.

I like my Zex kit. If all you want is a simple kit and you're not going to go nitrous crazy (read: get lots of extras, multiple stages, etc), the Zex kit is PERFECT.

Get a wet kit, one heat range colder plugs are optional, but a VERY good idea, not too expensive either... If you don't have a tuner or some way to back down the timing, stay with a 75 shot, you'll never hurt it that way as long as you have fuel pressure. If you can move the timing back (or are very daring) you can use a 100 shot. You will need to back the timing down for a 125 shot, I would stop there.

Goes without saying but if your engine has any problems the nitrous will only make it 100x worse (bad fuel injector, or something along those lines)... be sure your engine is in good working order before you spray!

ZEX, I love mine. Be sure to get a window switch (zex has 1st gear delete), a good tune if you plan on going over a 75 shot, and do alot of research. Have fun!
