Nothing wrong with it at all. I think you have trouble realizing that you're not in a Talon anymore. Like I have said in the last 3 posts on this thread is that if you plan on doing anything more then bolt ons - it makes sense to get longtubes because it gives everything else more power, including the power from the headers. I never said they weren't expensive as hell for the power it gives you, but it adds to everything else. most header and midpipe installs = 1000-1500 depending on the headers you get. It makes sense only if you're want the sound of the lt's, or plan on doing more then simple bolt ons... nothing against people that just want bolt on cars... but, it is what it is. Sweet, you need to remember you're not in that Talon anymore... You can't compare anything on a Mustang to the Talon.

Longtubes will add more power than any other simple bolton on a 2v mustang, plain and simple.

They make since if you are going to do more down the road, because every mod after the LTs will make that much more power.

They make since on a bolton only car, because without them you are leaving a extra 15-20 WHP on the table. This is only considering peak horsepower/torque as well, they add quite a bit under the curve.

Hell, I could make a case for them being your first bolton mod, only because everythign else you add will increase the horsepower even more with the LTs on.

They are expensive, but welcome to the world of 4.6. Everything is expensive.

Mustangs are cheap. I paid around $5000 for my Talon 4 cylinder to be rebuilt using my core.
www.karkraft.com has a new Mach 1 with shaker set-up for $3895.! NEW, /'03-'04's.
Whatever works for you guys. Brent told me not to bother unless I wanted the very last the 2v had and said LT's should be the last mod in his opinion and he has the dyno. My passport gets knocked and his dyno!
I met a guy at a shwow with a nice triple black '03 I think with many saleen parts including SC and stock ex. manifolds. I'll pass myself. I got another compliment tonight on my car. I enjoy it especially being an automatic for my back and drop top for nice weather. later, mark

Mark, let me put it this way... if had his stock manifolds (which are good till he gets around 450rwhp normally), and was making 350rwhp... with the longtubes, he would be making close to 380 or so... that's how much they do help. Im glad your content, but longtubes are what they are... if anyone plans on a cam/forced induction - imo, they're stupid not to get them - they help tons...

Thank YoU! Contentment is one of my life goals. Paul learned to be content no matter the circumstances. Good goal.
If I can save cash I might go with the KB SC at 6psi, no IC and add 106HP+. More than street tires can handle even on a roll as I understand it. I'm not planning on it but I do like to keep improving the car. Would like a 4v also but the SC would be easier and less in the long run. Later guys, mark
