96 Mustang Engine Hesitating or Studdering Tips
If you notice your 4.6 getting poor gas mileage, running rough, hesitating, studdering (misfiring), backfiring, or poor acceleration with the engine under load, the chances are that one or several spark plugs are bad. A bad spark plug will ultimately cause the engine to misfire, causing the chech engine light to appear. If this is the case, replace all of the plugs immediately, since it will ultimately damage the catalytic converter.

No. I simply posted it, so that it can be referenced in google, just in case someone experiences similar symptoms and trys to search it. I recently had experienced similar problems and the weird thing was that I had the plugs already replaced 6 months earliar.
