Default Lucas Oil Stabilizer

I have checking out some old threads (using the search feature) and have run across something called Lucas Oil stabilizer. I am curious as to what this product is exactly, what it does (stabilize?), and how beneficial it is to my engine and why. I currently run mobil 1 synthetic and change my oil religiously every 2500 miles.

Thanks

I saw that at a Shell Rapid Lube place, they had a display. It seemed to make the oil "stickier"/thicker and it pulled up through the gears they had set up for you to turn better than the display next it that did not have the stabilizer in it. I guess it is supposed to keep the oil from breaking down or something like that. Maybe you can google it and you might find a better explanation.

EDIT: Here's a link I found real quick, hope it helps: Lucas Oil Stabilizer

Lucas Oil stuff is supposed to be great. Top NHRA and IHRA drag racers use it all the time in their top fuel, funny cars, pro 5.0 and more.

Here's more info to read about it.

the way it clings to the parts, looks like it would be good for durabilty, but rob horsepower.
