cant figure it out
i took the mach in for warranty work after the stalling problem. they replaced i IAC and said it was fine. it isnt fixed and heres whats been happening.
when im going about 40 mph or faster and push the clutch in or shift to nuetral, it idles fine for like 5 seconds while rolling then the idle drop really low and comes back up and then it stalls. sometimes it idles longer than others and sometimes it wont idle for 2 seconds. sometimes it doesnt stall at all. it seems to make it a lot worse the faster im going, for example if i push th clutch at like 30 or 40, it dles fine, but if i do it at like 50 or 60 it will idle for like 5 seconds and at like 70 or 80 it will stall out pretty quick.
before i take it back to ford to complain i thought maybe someone would have some ideas? thanks.

i had that exact same problem with my Jeep. i took it to the shop and they said the same thing but then when i drove it there were still problems. its turned out to be a speed sensor in the engine someplace. it thought it was spinning at one speed and then it would react accordingly. damn comp.

i still have that problem too sometimes. i cleaned my IAC out a while ago...but every once in a while the car will still die when cruising. i dont know about you...but it seems to only do it if ive been driving it kind of hard...like flooring it or at least driving somewhat aggressive. if im just shifting slow at like 2000 rpms i usually dont have any problems. i dont know what to do about the problem either...my warranty is gone [&:]
if you take it back to ford (which i think you should cuz they didnt totally fix the problem)...post up about what they do to remedy the problem. any info that could stop my car from stalling would be greatly appreciated. good luck.
