We're talking modular...WTF is the point of a SB w/o boost?

I like mustangs because their easy to mod...they don't respond well to mods...but look under the hood of a T/A or a Z-28 and try imagining how hard it is to get a cam in there.
I have been checking out the ls1 page lately and they say it costs them $9,000 to get cam's and headers.
Not sure if you want a fast car or just a good looking car w/ pep. Not sure how you feel about blowers either. I suggest if you want a fast car you buy the GM, or buy a mustang with a blower already on it. Lots of people are skeptical about buying an already SC'd car, but people don't put a blower on their car and turn around and sell it 2 months later, also most people who blowup their motors take off the S/C and sell it separately.
Just MO

Edit: Do you have any idea of what it takes to do a cam swap on even a 2v 4.6?
Edit #2: Honestly, if I were to start over again with a car that was for performance only, and it had to be a newer car, a LS1 Fbod would be in the driveway. almost 400 WHP with just boltons and a cam? 500~ WHP on the stock shortblock with that and nitrous? The numbers don't lie.
The only problem is, they are ugly, and unless totally ragged out they are expensive. Honestly, if you really want to "build" a car to go out and win races (street or strip) get a fox body LX notch, do a couple weight reduction things (2900 lbs is easy with a few mods) rebuild the engine, and shoot a crapton of nitrous into it. low 10s/high 9s is easily done on a setup you can drive to the grocery store.
If you don't want to spend alot of money, and you want alot of performance, the 4.6L 2v cars are not the place to start. However, there is something to be said about the car: Nobody expects it to be fast. you get no respect. I know that guy in the vette last weekend had no idea what was coming
