Im just going to have to go with a dealership for financing so i cant go private, because i would have to get rid of my car, and then i would be car less.

I was kind of in the same boat...I had to trade my Jeep in instead of just selling it private party, because I couldn't go without a car for long. Thats not to mention too, my ex wife turned my credit to ****...but thats another story. I got my 02 GT with 60K for $13.9K...they gave me a good price for my Jeep so I jumped on it. Now I wish I would have shopped a little longer, I feel realistically I should have paid around 1500 less.

I think part of it is the area you are in. I don't think I could have found some of the deals that others here say they have found. There are a lot of mustangs around here, but this is also "The country" as far as many are concerned, lots of trucks and 4x4s. When shopping I looked at one 99 GT with 99K miles for $11K. That car actually sold a couple weeks later...

dont buy that car for that much with that many miles!!! You can find 99' Cobras for that price with less miles!!! I am with Code.. 10k tops... heck you can find good milage 04's for mid teens... lol
