carfax is far from the end all-be all on a car. Anyone could easily fix something themselves or have it done somewhere where they wont report it to unsurance. Make sure YOU do a good physical check on the car and all the seams before you even think about buying one.

you got a hell of a deal.. most 04's are going for the high 20's... if the car is nice and you like it - that's a good deal. The good 03's are still goin for 23-27 and the 04's more or less are hittin 26-40k still... That is a decent price, right in the middle of the pack about what they're goin for.. see if you can get em down a lil bit, use the mods as an excuse, but if you find a better priced one - theres a good chance it'll only be by like 1k...

I just bought my 04 cobra(stock) for $24.8k with 11k miles on it. The car has some minor rock chips but other than that it is flawless. 28k for that car seems like a fair price. Just make sure you carfax it and see if you can talk him a little on the price.

I don't live too far away from this guy and he told me to come check it out and drive it and look it over good to make sure this is what I want. I know the price is still high, but I just believe this car hasn't been beat on like alot of Cobra's that you will see on videos all over the internet. The guy is about to retire from his job and he's wantin to sell this car to do something else with. He seems very honest about it so it seems good so far. But I'm going there this weekend... if he'll let me, I'd like to take some pics and I'll post them on here.

Hey man, I'd much rather pay 28k for a low mileage, well cared for car then a cheaper car that has been beat on.

Thanks man[sm=thanx.gif] it seems like a good deal. Its alot of money for me to come up with, but I think it'll be worth. I don't plan on making it a big track monster, but just some good mods that will liven it up a lil more and some IRS protection. I might look into getting a Whipple for it, but I'll have to wait and see with it.

Like i said that much money isnt bad for a 04' Cobra... The car is modified, which should normally hurt the value. There are people GETTING 30k for nice 04's...

Umm not quite. That's just what people bid on it so far. The Buy it Now price is almost $30k.

sounds like a good deal, but like they ^^^^said look it over real good, maybe talk to the dealer where it is serviced. those mods will help it but ask him for the stock parts in case you want to use them later. that is not a high price if it is as avertised. good luck.
