Hey gang, i have really been focused on getting a kb for my car, but have been reevaluating and this post may have a huge effect on my decision. Is it possible to get 400 rwhp on a vortech kit? How much extra would it take? I have seen that it will give you around 400 at the crank with the cooler. any insight would be great. thanks!

You should be able to get 400 easily. You may need long tubes but that's about it.

There are alot of GTs around here that are getting 400 WHP w/ a centri supercharger.. Spend less and get the Vortech.. Unless your have more money then you know what to do with.. If thats the case get the KB..

I got almost 400 at the wheels with a centri. I believe an intercooler and exhaust are key components.

With the right intake pieces you will definitely see 400 at the wheels in conjuction with the centri and full exhaust.

you dont need the aftercooler on the vortech to get 400 at the CRANK. people can easily get over 350+ without the aftercooler. thatd come out to be over 400 at the crank.

theres a bunch of different versions of the vortech, v1 s-trim, v2-sq, t trim... go to there website they list them all.

just to reiterate what everyone is saying. Yes you can definately get 400 rwhp with a vortech v2-sq trim. If you have full bolt-ons and cams you can see even more.

My buddy just put a vortech s trim on his 04 GT with nothing else but injectors, 75 mm tb & UI and mufflers and he got 430 hp to the wheels. Not bad if you ask me.
