RE: What is need for intake manifold swap?
You can't do a straight swap without improvising. Go to Livernois Motorsports' website. They sell a PI intake manifold set up with adapter plates (I think) so that it will fit NPI heads.
I have heard of people doing a PI intake swap onto NPI heads, but you're going to need plenty of silicone gasket maker, and the fit and finish won't be very good. I would advise either getting the manifold from Livernois or just doin a full PI swap.

Don't mess around with just the manifold, all or nothing is how I see it. If you can't afford the full swap now save your money until you can.

Also, just swaping the manifold over will not give you much improvement. The power of the PI engine over the NPI engine comes from the different heads and cams that were used. I agree that you should save some more money up and do the complete PI swap all at once. This will give you the power you want, and you will avoid having to do the same work twice.
