I have a possibly silly question to ask.

I bought an '04 GT this year and the oil dipstick does not appear right.
It is all twisted as if someone took a straight one and clamped it in a vise and twisted it around until it was like a corkscrew.
It reads oil but I am not confident if it is the correct reading.

I went to 2 local ford dealers to look at a new one but they have none in stock and they are $40 new.

Can someone with an '04 GT tell me if their dipstick is twisted (coiled) or if it is totally flat like most cars?

The dipsticks are all a screw design these days my stang is the same as well. it is just as accurate
