Default Congrats to FRPP

Wow. Just received the bullitt pedals in the mal...spent an hour trying to put them on...with 5 blisters on my fingers I only got the dead pedal on. I can't put the accelerator pedal on because i need the factory hardware. And I couldn't get the clutch/brake pedals on. I used mustangtuning.com's instructions, so i boiled them. But i couldnt seem to get the hole pedal around the metal piece without a side not folding. Anybody have any other suggestions? My fingers are torn up.

I have done this install before, yes it gets hot I can concur to that I boiled the water dropped them in for 3 or so min brought the pot out next to the car and pull them on to my floor mats let them cool for a few secs and took my time get them on its not made to be easy thats for sure they will feel loose on their at first but let them cool and they will shrink up obv. Also I find the easiest thing to do with the gas pedal is to undo the 2 bolts on the fire wall and this way you can just get the whole gas pedal down a little bit and twist it around so you can stick a pin and a hammer on onside to tap that pin in the pedal frame out. and repeat steps to get it in. It's a lot easier to see what your doing rather than feeling around just my experience good luck Dan

yea after reading on some other forums this is what i did to put them on.
took hand soap and rubbed it in the pedals with my finger....then i put thin leather gloves on...put the bottom on first...then just slipped my hands all the way around the pedal...did this in less than 5 minutes...leather gloves with hand soap works awesome....i also used a very small screwdriver to make sure all the edges were aound the metal piece.

no!!!!! it will stick and scare the shyt out of you............Try to adjust it. mine stuck in traffic and my rpm bounced off the rev limiter for like a split sec. I turned my car off and it appeared to be shoved in by the carpet..I adjusted it and no problems now

I believe you can bend it over a little bit without hurting anything I did this.... not because of a bad experience just because i noticed it when I was doing my pedal install.

Installing the FRPP clutch and brake pedals really killed my fingers, but I did it somehow. For the gas pedal, I squeezed out the pin with vise-grips and installed an allen head 10-24 screw with ny-lock nut and dabbed on some black paint. I like the look, but what a PITA!!!
