Default 427 in a 2002 GT

In a couple of years i am going to be replacing the 4.6 in my 02 with a Big block either a 427 or a 460 not sure yet then putting a supercharger on it to make it a drag car. Ill prolly have to make custom motor mounts and get custom headers what are some other things will i have to do

I would think that you are going to have to make some major changes in the computer system. Definately beef up your rear end with 31 spline axles. Stiffen you chassis. Look into some weight reduction.

yeah i am going to be taking all the computer stuff out and just running a carb. yeah i know the frame has to be connected and the rear end and all anything else

Why not just buy a fox roller and build off that...it would make your life easier.

why not just put in a fully built 2003 cobra motor with a kenne belle, whipple, or turbo....you could be near the 1000hp level with the turbo's if you wanted and would still be easier than squeezing a BB in.

lol! computer system, fuel system, frame work, ALL the bolt-ons lol! By the time you are done, you'll have spent enough to own two 03 Cobras or one HIGHLY modified one. If you have to money, then go for it. If not, then dream a bit smaller, so you don't get into something you don't end up 'properly' finishing. I am personally a fan of the short-blocks that scream!

just can get alot of hp without doing something so radical. Just seems like doing it for the sake of it. To each their own. WOuld be interesting to see a huge big-block shoe-horned in there.
