12.9@107?

I thought I asked before, but I can't find the thread.

You must have a majorly stalled GT if you had no power adder to run those times? No nitrous? No SC? No Heads/Cam's or full bolt-ons??
he has nitrous

No I said nitrous. You must have skipped over it. [sm=alcoholic.gif] lol

Anyway, I will try the voltmeter and such when I go back on friday. A lot of the people I talked to think it is the alternator.

Bad alternator would kill the battery and you would not be able to get a 'strong' crank out of it. or any cranking for that matter after a while. The battery does not recharge itself by sitting. The alternator only takes over AFTER the car is started. That's why I think it's a short. Sporatic starting and when it runs, a shorted battery could cause some of the problems you're experiencing.

That reminds me alot of what happened to me when I had my 04 GT. After about 2 months, I had a problem. I was at college and parked it to go to class like normal and when I get back in it to go home, it wouldn't turn over. Nothing. No lights, not a damn thing. Couldnt figure it out so thought it was the battery. Replaced it, didn't help. But after awhile, the car started back up again and ran fine with no problems... or so I thought. To make a long story short, took it to the dealership and they couldnt figure it out either. At least for awhile. Cuz I would take it to them and it would do fine for them. Then I get it home and would do the same crap again[>:] Eventually they found the problem after about the 5th time it was there and almost all of my electrical wiring had melted together and there was a wonder that a fire didn't get started. Don't really know why it done that. But got that fixed and I never had another problem again. Be careful and check that out as soon as possible.
same thing happened to me except it was a once and done deal. I was driving and my car just died. My whole wiring harness had melted. Check to make sure your wiring harness is in the right place.

I had this exact same thing happen to a non mustang about 10 years ago.
It would start and run as long as I kept my foot down on the gas and then die if I put it in gear.
It was a MAP sensor. Replaced it and all was good.

A buddy of mine with a Grand Prix GT had some of the same s**t happening to his car a while back but only when the car was good and hot. Turned out his coil packs were going.

Whatever it is, hope it isn't too costly
