Default Cam Install

Cams come in today and just wondering what all i need to do the install. what all has to come off to do the install basically im trying to figure out the easiest way to do it from those who have done it already.

ive rebuilt old motors used to work at a speed shop but never on a modular motor i have torn one down

there is no easy way. the first thing Id do is make sure you truely have the right cams though. Ive heard too many horror stories. anyways, you can start by pulling all the pullies off and then removing the timing chain cover. make sure the keyway slot is in the 12' position. Im not sure how to tackle the rest though.

If you haven't done it before and need to ask i would definately not do it...The cams need to be degreed in or you may get PTV and have a huge nightmare on your hands. Cams and Gears are 2 things i leave to guys who do it all day long.

i got quoted $700-$800 for labor

then i asked what if i brought cams and heads they said it would be $800-$1000...

so ive found its cheaper to do heads and cams at teh same time then seperate.
