Default lowering springs

i talked to a guy at a mustang shop and he said that since the springs i have are a 2" drop in the front and 1.8 in the back i would need more then just the camber plates, he also said it will tear alot of things up..is that to much of a drop?

You may get bump steer, which is fixable with a kit from Steeda, but you don't know until you lower it and drive it. You will probably need to get some shorter links for the end of the swaybar (Steeda). Other then that, you should be good to go.

I had my car lowered with Eibach sportlines, which i beleive is about the same as you mentions, no problems. I did recently get CC plantes, but thats becasue I changed the shocks and struts out, so i figured I might as well go ahead at get them. but you will be fine.

if your gonna lower it that much i would definately recommend getting the CC plates and the bump steer kit. iwould also recommend getting new shocks along with it. after you get them on, get an alignment pronto. when you get it aligned, do it at a reputable shop, and they should let you know if there is anything else you will need to get put on so that all of the angles in your steering and suspension are correct. lowering your car that much is definately a lot more work and more money that just throwing on some springs, remember that

More than a 1 1/2" drop and all kinds of things happen to your suspension. You will definitely need CC plates, new shocks designed for the shorter travel, bumpsteer kit and the extended ball joints you can purchase from Ford and Steeda. Your front end geometry is probably all frogged up right about now. If you choose to do nothing about it, you'll eventually tear up the rest of your front end, tires, etc. I'd call Steeda and tell them exactly what you have done, what is currently in the front end and let them sort things out for you. They have all the suspension answers. Good luck!

I am thinking of 1 1/2" drop.
Are you saying that it should be ok (no CC plates or bump steer kit) ?
