I dont think you should, unless all you care about is going fast. I think your car looks many many times better than a GTO. You can make your car faster but you cant make a GTO look that good without a lot of body work. IMO go with a Terminator before the GTO.

i wish i could afford a gt500, for about 30k is either a GTO, EVO or STI(dont really like anything else in this price range). i would rather have the bland styled GTO than the evo or sti which i think are ugly and i cant really complain about a 400 hp V8.

Since you hate the interior, I won't suggest an 03/04 Cobra. LOL It isn't much prettier...

However, picking the GTO for driver comfort and interior quality proves you have a good eye INCREDIBLY comfortable cars, I felt really safe behind the wheel and like you said, the interior is excellent for the money.

I was canning my 02 GT for a GTO, had papers signed and I was going to be picking up a red 05 GTO 5 speed, brand new for $28,500. Day before I was going to pick it up, I located a Cobra that wasn't incredibly overpriced and made a deal I couldn't refuse...

If you can afford it, get it. 400hp isnt a joke, but with it weighing a ton, their not as fast as they should be. Do some weight reduction, DR's, cam and exhaust, and you've got yourself a low 12 second car.
