Hmmmm...I am going for the 3.73 gear. Why? To save conserve and save gas. Ain't NO Altima gonna eat my car unless I EF up again. Even if I had 2.49 gears like some stupid website said I had http://media.ford.com/products/press...section_id=405(hit cancel when your print screen window appears)

Why is everyone here worked up on traction? Why not use your traction contol button that all the 99-04 (Or at least mine does) Mustangs have ; ) . Or is it useless, with that much power? I know it's for snowy weather and slippery roads, but why not for racing?

Just a newbie asking questions :-)

Also what are upd's?
did you mean "udp's" cuz those are under-drive pullies
Thanks for correcting meand answering me What are the UDP's purpose? I have never heard of under-drive pullies. I am not car MOD savy, but I want to learn as much as I can.

So far on this web-site despite what Piledriver thinks of all of you, everyone here is cool in my book, and has been of great help and not laughing at me cause I know nothing about car MODS. I do know how to change oil, do tune ups, and change breaks (drums are a pain in the ***, but now I got 4 wheel discs). Long time ago I even did my transmission filter (on my own)...lol. Basically all the service stuff I can do. I even have a spark plug gapper...oooooh...rotflmao

Because of this website I now know a few things about gears ( I am going for 3.73's)and superchargers (haven't decided what I want yet).

If you have 410's you are not hitting 92 in 3rd.
With my 373's I hit 95 in 3rd and 125-130 at the top of 4th.
Your figures are bull**** you *******!!!
Hey mod, don't bother banning me becauseI won't be coming back to this ****hole forum, it's full of ******** who don't know what the **** they're talking about.
This douchebag is probably some skinny assed pimply faced wannabe who doesn't even own a Mustang.
**** all you cretins and goodby!!!

Holy ****. What a whining little bitch. I told him those numbers were shifting at 6500rpm, which would bump speed up a bit.

I'd like to bitch slap this dude, then send him a vid of my car hitting 90+ in 3rd.

In answer to your question about using the Traction control button: You CAN use it, but if you spin the tires even for a second it will restrict the engine and apply the brakes for a couple of seconds. So, usually it's quicker to get off the line without it and even if you spin a bit you can get it to grab pretty quick. Just my 2 cents.

He told me to kiss his ***. So I PM'd him about a date and location.

All of the sudden he blew up. I don't know. His 34-37 years of drag racing must have finially gotten to him.
Yeah I guess the G-forcesforced his brains backwards too much

p.s.I love your avatar.

UDP's help the engine by cutting down on accessory loss. Like alternator, water pump etc... Basically frees up hp.

Thanks. I just googled them. Are they lighter in weight or the dimensions smaller? How does it free up HP?

I'm sorry; but they look like regular pullies to me (but like I said b4 I know nothing of Modding). Hope I'm not disrespectful. I am not trying to undermine you
