Heh yeah $17,500., that's nuts. I've seen '04 GTs with LESS miles than 39k for that same price. Here is the link of the car I checked out today: 2000 GT I'm definately going to check other avenues (ebay, craigslist.org, etc) before I think about going to a dealership again.

I was going to say, sounds like a scam dealership to me. Did the sticker price say $12,000? There friggin nuts. I know it's hard to pass up a deal like that, and I had a feeling there was only 1 owner, but when they jack up a price they already have listed by 5K, that's pretty fishy.

Check out the Market there.. they got some good deals... Cobras, Terminators, Mach1's, GT's... etc., and most of em are posted by well known posters that know how to drive and took care of thier cars.

I think you're right! The first time I saw the car it just came into the dealership right before they closed. I was with a novice car salesman and he mentioned the price $12,000 very casually, and had no clue about who owned it, or anything like that. He calls me today (2 weeks later) to have me check it out, this time I find out more info and I see the price at $17,500. The sales manager said they will sell it to me for $12k but I have to buy it TODAY or at least put money down on the car to hold it for me until I decide.. that was the only way I could get the car at $12,000.

kazp, thanks for the link., I'm going to be super patient and wait until I find a car that is right for me, at the right price. So far nothing yet though.
