Default Droning Flows! What to do about it?

I have an X-pipe and a set of flowmasters with 2 cats. Whenever I start her up, It sound's ok for a seconds until the car warms up a bit and the rpm drops to about 900-950. Then I get that really annoying droning sound. It drives me crazy!

So what I was wondering was, if I tap the gas pedal just a little bit to get it to 1000rpm, the droning stops and it sounds awesome. I've worked on carbs. in the past and you could just tweak the acceleration cable where it meets the carburetor, and change the idle speed to. Is there a way to do this with an EFI? Never tried it or heard of being done before. I think it may screw up the computer though, right? I really don't want to get rid of my flows because they sound great besides the idle speed. And is there anyother way to fix it?

Thanks.

Hmm mine dont drone at idle, just at 2grand on the road. If you get a tuner you can change your idle, but i doubt you want to spend 300-400 just to change the drone. Just get some different mufflers if you cant stand it that much

i don't get any drone at idle either. trust me, it's not worth it to change your idle speed just for a little drone, in mean how long do you spend idling anyway right?

Mine dont really drone at all, mabey just a little about 2200 rpm's but its not enough to be annoying. I have an H pipe though, that might make a difference.

Ya, I hear everyone complaining about flows droning, but I've almost had mine for a year, and have not had droning issues at all. Maybe its cuz I run auto. i dunno...

My PYPES mufflers/exhaust have the 2K drone and I don't like it but when you go to larger diameter pipes and a free flow muffler drone seems to come with that. Resonator tips can help. I believe the TB has a screw that will change the idle.

Yeah I have most of the droning at idle speed. I do get it at 2000, but I usually don't go any higher before changing gears, so it stops as soon as I shift. But when I'm pushing it to like 3500 and shift it sounds awesome. I have to check under the hood to see if there is an idle screw to tighten up a bit. But I still don't know if it will throw off my EFI because thats what controls the air/fuel mixture flow at idle right?

if you dont like the drone i would suggest getting a straight through type muffler design such as SLP, Magnapacks, Stingers etc etc
