Hey guys i was just wondering about a problem.... My friend is a Mechanic and some guy brought His lightning in to get smaller Pulley and CAI on it. So we Raced Before and After...(I won Will post vids up later) BUT When we raced I shifted into 3rd, Grinded, and Again Grinded then it finally went it.(Wasnt Powershifting...) Soo now when im driving at a Decent speed I Put clutch ALLL the way in, let off gas completely and still Grind 3rd gear. But when im going slow i can put it in.

Sooo now..

Do i start looking for a New Tranny?
Go wif the 6spd?
Get mind Rebuilt?
or what?

was a dissapointing day, i thought Lightnings were faster and I broke my car . but hey, I won

Sounds like Syncros........Good kill on the Lightning. Did you race from a dig or a roll??? From a roll I could see a tuneless Lightning losing to the 2v but from a dig, he should have raped you (unless he cannot launch).

as a biulder of mustang trans like the other guys said its the syncro rings.There not bad to change and a whole set for all gears is pretty cheap if u go to the right place [astro]
