I have a 2000 Mustang GT 4.6, and my clutch was recently replaced with a Spec stage 3 after the old one burned out... when I went to the Ford dealership to get a price estimate the mechanic told me my clutch hub (on the outside of the air conditioning compressor) was worn out as well and i had to replace it.. so i ordered the part and put it on myself as the mechanic told my it was a simple installation. He showed my how the old one spun with the pulley and how that it is suppesed to stay still. I put the new one on, tighten the bolt, and the hub stayed still, the installation occured after after the Spec was installed. Then after driving for a few days the hub began to spin slowly and make a squeling noise. So i figured if i tightened it more it would stop, but now after tightening it it spins with the pulley at the exact speed, from start up and into idle. I checked my friends mustang and his hub remains still, so i know something is wrong??? What is going on, is it a major problem?? Also when we took the hub off the air compressor pulley it seemed as if the sir compressor pulley was desinegrating and the inner ring fell off, we put it back in tho and tightened the hub on.. if that helps for anything.. whats going on???
