Default Installed SLP Cat X.... bad news need help

So everything went pretty good, o2s where pain in the A** but got them, well the driver side flange did not go good with the studs in the manifold, so I filled the flange and made it go on very nice, everything else went on easy,

Started car and had leak at manifold and at both cats.... I know one problem could be that my small compressor didnt provide to much power for my tools, so I will retighted the bolts at work and hope it is going to solve problem..

Im worried that I might have to do more work then just torqing them agian, what did you guys do for this problem? any suggestions.... also slp comes in 3 pieces..

took it for a test drive... amazing loud im so inlove and i know it will sound so much better with it all sealed... Im not going to be able to sleep tonight I want it all to work, please HELP!!

Thanks in advance,
Chris

im thinking about getting that midpipe... when you get it fixed you need to post a sound clip. ive heard the slp cated x and lm1's in person but never the lm2's with the stock manifold and slp cated x.

I have a mac H its also 3 pieces. Mine also leaked when I first installed it. If it still leaks after you tighten them at work, I would loosen everything and try to retighten starting from the manifolds and working back to the mufflers. The first time i started from the mufflers and went forward and it leaked bad. Also, mine came with a slip in gasket on the drivers side manifold to pipe connection, im not sure if the slp has this, but its something you might check for.

When i finished the second time, it still sounded like i still had a small leak coming from somewhere. It wasnt bad and went away in a few days, mabey it just needed to be ran for a while to seal properly.

I have the slp mid pipe back. You have to readjust the clamps on the cats for the leaks to go away, center out the clamps on the amount that is in on both sides of the pipes from the cats. As far as the manifold leak it happen to me and my brother. What I ended up doing was I found the the flange does not seat right on the elbow going on the end of the manifold I had to put a smaller flange in and longer studs were also put in. Or I think you can use a a bigger seat that you can put inside the elbow end and it will expand the area of the seat so you might be able to seal up the leak. Goodluck.
