lately when its hot out, or when im flooring my car a lot...ive been getting this weird response from my car..i mean i dont abuse the **** out of it but every now and then i like to have fun. anyways when u hit the gas u get that long roar from ur exhaust..but every now and then it feels like it cuts out half way and the car isnt picking up like it normally does..i thought i was the fuel filter at first cuz it was only happening when i had 1/4 gas but i filled it up and it ran fine then started doing it a little bit later

did you CHANGE the fuel filter??? Just filling it up with gas is not going to CLEAN the old filter. Change that thing and then go from there (plugs, plug wires, air filter) with the cheapest being next in line.

thanks for the help..no i didnt change the fuel filter...im prolly gonna do that if this keeps happening...i just hope its not the alternator. cuz my friends ranger did this and it was the alternator.
