Default i have a couple ?S on exhaust

ok firtst is whats the difference in performance wise with the x or h pipe ?
if i go with a o/r x pipe can i get any kind of lt headers or depends?
if anyone can give me some knowledge i would appreciate it. and please dont get on here jsut to be stupid not every one knows

The performance differences between a H and X are pretty small. The H will make slightly more power down low, and the X will make more at the top of the band. However, this difference will not even be noticalble on a bolton only GT. Buy your midpipe for the sound you like, and to match your muffler of choice (X pipe for straight thrus, H for baffled muffler, etc)

You will need to match your manifolds with your headers. If you buy a set of LTs, you have to have a "shortie" X. If you have stockers or short tube headers, you will need a regular length mid pipe.

Almost any midpipe brand will work with any header brand. I believe that if you go with SLP you must use their midpipe with their headers though.

thanks so what about loudness which one ppl get i used to see alot of ppl talk about the x now ppl talk alot of the h pipe and is bbk a good one or mac as well

The sound is alot differen't on the two midpipes. A H is deeper, while a X is (IMO) a little louder up top, more racy sounding.


Here is a clip of my exhaust when the car was at full boltons + cams (before the blower). The cams really don't make any difference in the sound at WOT. This is with BBK Lts, a BBK o/r X, and magnaflow catback:

bbk lt headers, bbk o/r x and lm2's. the lm2's may be a bit louder though
