well for one, I am using a Steeda Tri-ax from a 96 cobras T-45 on my 3650. Is that a reason I keep missing gears?

It was on BFGoodrich KDWS street tires, I didnt spin the tires that hard. I rolled it out slow tho. I thought all i need is TB/plenum and LT to be full bolt-ons
BFG's tend to be hard tires

Hard tire: good for handling
Soft tire: good for traction

Are you talking about side wall stiffness? Because a hard compound tire is not good for handling, the only thing a hard tire is good for is lasting a long time.

That sounds right, I use to have Toyo Proxes 4 tires when I ran that 14.3 bone stock. It seems like I hooked up better with those????They seem to ride smoother too I guess they must be softer

Yes ofcoarse i was talking about sidewalls. I thought that was just assumed? The only thing hard compound tires are good for is big *** burn outs and really sucky traction. We all want soft compound tires but G/force tends to have a stiff sidewall for handling's sake. In drag racing you want a soft sidewall so you can flex. But thats almost impossible to have with an 18" wheel
