Default Car running rich

Well i just got my bassnai exhaust on my 2004 cobra. I can now smell that it is running rich. Should i have it tuned now or could i wait a little while. I know it will make more power with a tune but should i get it done right now or let it be for a little while.

It takes 200 miles for an ECU to build a strategy for your new mods. Give it 200 to 400 miles and if its still running too rich then go to a dyno and have them check the air/fuel and they can adjust from there.

It'll run like that until you can get it on the dyno. Unfortunately our car's computers are pretty primative compared to some of the stuff I've seen out there. Heck GM's computers are a good jump ahead. I had a fellow mustang guy explain it to me like this, and he knows his ****.

Our Car's computers are alot like a calculator. The ford calculator can add, subtract, multiply, and divide enough to get us by. The Gm calculator however is alittle more advance. It can take equations with unknown variables and work them out to a point that is suitable enough to do the job. I hope this makes some kind of sense.. long day at school/work.

Well i didnt know it took that long for the comp to adjust. Guess ill give it a little more time but then again this does give me an excuse to go out and buy a tuner now instead of waiting till i change the pulley.
