Dude nothing can compaire to a viper. Throw on twin turbos and youve got 1000 hp. No cobra can handling like a viper can and the cool factor of a viper is just unmatchable. Id sell my stang in a heartbeat if i knew i could afford a viper. Maybe someday.

To each his own on this... I personally don't want 1000 HP. I'm good with around 500-550 HP. I myself love the Cobra's and its what I've always wanted. I would still pick it over the viper but thats just me. Just ask my fiance on this one tho... she'll have a different answer for that lol.

I used to sell Vipers/Dodges for a few years and the older Vipers don't really compare to a newer version. Its like a completely different car. The new Vipers are refined with lots of power/tq as well as great handeling and brakes. The older version didn't handel as good and the brakes just sucked.
A 04 Cobra is by far a better value since you could add 20k in upgrades and still not be at the Vipers 80k pricetag...BUT a Viper is a Viper and will always be the wanted car and will retain value and chicks will druel over it
I don't think i would buy a Viper because of the cost and a Z06 Corvette is just as sweet and much less...that is also a better comparison to a Viper then a Cobra.

Yeah the new vipers are fast but the originals are extremely slow. The first vipers in 92 did the 1/4 in the mid 13's these days thats nothing for one of us to do. I have yet to race a 92 viper but rode in one and was extremely dissappointed. They arents really any faster than my car is. The new ones (96 and up) are the quick ones. I have ridden in a 650 hp s/c ACR and a 1100 hp twin turbo N20 viper (200 shot) and that was the sort of thing that made you sick to your stomach its so fast but if you get a viper get a 99 or newer one. Those are the mean looking ones.

Well... my budget will be limiting me on the models that I'll be looking at. If I was buying this car for ME, for sure... I would be looking at the 99+ cuz they are badass and look great. I know the older ones aren't the cars like the new ones are, but this will be for my fiance, she doesn't need 600-700 HP honestly. I mean she can drive but like alot of girls, she likes the older ones mostly for its body style. HP is not really a concern for her when it comes to a Viper. Cobra is the better bang for the buck which I why I'm getting that for me.
