The fact the car is a convertible and auto actually enhances it's value, because not only is it desirable for kids but the gray haired set as well. I just the other day wailed past a "gray" in a new edge yellow rag doing 40 in 55. I will bet my paycheck that car was an auto.
Convertibles appeal to folks of all ages, it usually becomes the first "break free" car of folks after they dump the mini van, and, of course they make less rags than coupes, so they are scarce. I was toying with buying a '80's 'Vette as a toy/resell item, they are relatively cheap here, $6K for a stick coupe, but a hefty $10-$12k for a rag top. I think she just might get her asking price. But if it's a gray I hope he/she has a neck brace for those 4.10's Yeeeee-Haaaaa they're in for a surprise when they punch the right pedal!

Stang chick,
My wife had a mini van for 2 years couldn't stand it, so she asked me if there were any sports cars that could haul our 3 boys.
I came home one day and told her I bought her a 4 door sports car. I brought it home, it was a '95 Crown Victoria Police interceptor in laser red with 60K miles, I paid $10 k for the car 3 years old. That non PI 4.6 with the stock dualies KICKED ***! She still misses that car, it was a ton of fun, flew, and got 20 mpg city, it was her favorite "family" car of all time. So I'm sure your Mustang is no slouch.

ya i know, The 99- and up GT's have a lot more horsepower, but with my set-up i kill a lot of these young kids that can't drive, Heck i beat a supercharged saleen one night, but he missed a gear, really really bad driver
I love this car, but i really miss having a 5-speed as a DD, i get bored driving an auto
