Default Selling my car...need some input

Alright, so most of you know that i am from a family that bracket races. So when i got my car, it was really cheap, and i had planned on running it because its an auto. Just the $1000 weekend pot, nothing too big. Well now i am finally getting my formula put back together (totaled last year, by old lady, but an amazing, bracket car) so therefore, i am selling the stang to move up a generation, and get a 5-speed, because oh how i miss driving one.
Okay, so my question, i've been seeing stangs like my body style sell for a lot higher than usual around here lately. I'm talking anywhere from $7000-$1000, that's a lot for one like mine, i know. And that's just for a clean mostly stock GT. They are all in the autotrader. Well mine has a decent amount of upgrades, new wheels, lights, and a bunch of other stuff, not to mention to body, top, and interior, are in excellent condition. SO do you guys think i could around $8000-$8500, for my car. There is nothing wrong with it, ( i just fixed the odometer). I know its pushing it, but after looking at some for sell, i think it may be possible, if i found the right person.

understand....but seriously they are going really high in my city right now. A girl from my work just paid $10,000 for a hardtop 98 with 46,000 miles from the chevrolet dealer last week, that's outrageous!

Generally, you dont get your money back form mods... i think you would be extremely lucky to find someone who whould pay that...

ya i agree, but if they selling for this much stock, maybe i'll get lucky. I mean i'm going to make a profit off of theis car regardless, i've already got some interest just trying to set a price. I'll just try it out, and if doesn't sell, i'll drop the price. Let me find some of these autotraders around here

Those are crazy ridiculous prices!!! At least the 2nd two are. I just sold my 04 GT a month or so ago for $14,500 with 38k miles on it. I had absolutely no interest in the car and ended up selling it to CarMax. It was auto as well. People talk about autos own the track and will outrun a manual with a high stall, shift kit, etc. but when it came down to it, noone wanted it. I just don't see how those will sell at all to be honest. But you can always set your price a lil high and come down some if you don't have any interest in it in the beginning.
