the other day i took my car to a shop to get my exhaust tightened and this guy said i was leaking oil .. he said i was leaking oil because the seal around the crankshaft went bad... does this sound right??? i mean i am leaking oil and its really obvious but I didnt think it would be because of that seal.. do you guys have any ideas where i could be leaking oil??

What are the signs and symptoms that make it obvious it's leaking oil. Is it smoking? If so where is the smoke coming from?

From what I hear, the piston rings tend to go out on these modular 4.6's. Also, the rear main seal could be a suspect.

All rear main seals tend to leak in time. Thats probly what he was looking at.
