RE: 425rwhp and 500rwtq???
I have all of the bolt ons except headers and that took off .5 and added 5 mph to my 1/4 time with a passport timer. Let's say that the timer is correct for this excercise. So I added 50 RWHP. Stock it's about what, 230? So that would put me at 280 RWHP. Never used the gas so I cannot fairly comment but I am skeptical that a 75 shot is truly 75 but let's say it is. That is close to your 360 guess. 80 HP more would be the 425 mark, actually a bit higher.
Really though what's up with the numbers game? If you really want to pull the heads and do cams for 40 HP more power to you, pun intended!
How about when you get the work done you report what you get for numbers as that would really help others. Bench racing is just that and open to arguements all day long. Of course you would be exceeding what the experienced guys say the stock block can handle. www.karkraft.com has some killer deals on shortblocks and complete engines that may even cost less than the head work and cams in the long run and save ytou some cash, big time if you grenage the stock motor with the power you may be making.
