Maybe he wants to go fast and be reliable in the 1/4. Honestly an auto with a high stall is the way to go. 90% of stick drivers are not nearly as good as they think are and will not be consistant at the track. Besides an auto is easier on the rest of the drive train.

And thats the answer FTW!!!! A buddy of mine with an auto 04 with full bolt ons and a 100 shot of wet N20 ran away from my other buddies 03 cobra with a pulley and x pipe and intake. The guy in the cobra said he couldnt shift nearly fast enough to keep up with him. Haha i saw skrew 6 speeds. Im actually thinking about getting a powerglide when i build my twin turbo 4v stroker motor.
