Default 1998 GT Intake manifold question

i see that there was a recall on my 96 gt intake manifold, i was wondering if this was the same case as the 98 gt's also? the 98 has 52000 miles on it, and im hoping that it wouldnt b past the warranty that they might have put on it

i just did some checking myself on my 98 gt 2 days ago. go to your ford dealer & ask one of the techs to run your vin on oasis in their computer. oasis is the dealers link to ford. by running your vin they'll be able to tell if your car is infected with cracked manifold disease. if it is, they will replace it free of charge. that's what the lady at ford's customer service told me on the phone. 1-800-392-3673 hope this helps.

anyone else also know anything about this and if they put the same 7 year warranty extension on it, or something like that, on the 96's?

forgot to tell you, warranty was from 96-98. recall notice 01m02 talks more about it. but they have to run your vin to see if your particular car has the recalled intake.

oops, forgot something, warranty 7 years from build date, regardless of mileage.
