Default saleen vs vortech

I am considering installing either a saleen supercharger or the vortech supercharger on my 02 gt. Can I get some thoughts out there as to which may be a better choice for the vehicle? Reliabilty, performance, ease of installation etc. Thanks

I have no personal exp. with the saleen charger, but I have a vortech getting 10 boost.I can say nothing but great things. As far as hp increasing performance parts, I only have that and a Dynomax cat-back. A few weeks ago I pulled a 339RWHP at 5600rpm's. Then if you upgrade to forged pistons and rods you can get a pulley and get an intercooler.

I did lots of research and asked lots of questions when Texas Hot Rods was offering their group buy on the Saleen S/C two months ago. I ran into too many people who weren't real happy with the Saleen tech support and I got several different answers from people who should have been giving me the same answers. I turned, ran and bought a Kenne Bell. Yeah, it was several bucks more but I was able to install it myself and the instructions were very good. I needed tech support answers twice and got good help. I am very pleased with the KB unit (2.1L 9psi).
Make sure you check out the KB website before you purchase anything. http://www.kennebell.net/
They have a great deal of technical information (FAQS) that are pertinent no matter which one you choose. Good luck on your Blow decision.

On this stang it was the first mod. On my other I got full exhaust, pulleys, gears, intake and more. You know alot of the basics and for all yhe money I spent on that stuff not to mention time installing. You may as well start off with the big stuff, then some of the smaller upgrages will be more efficient, like exhaust.
