Was there a strut tower bar in one of the earlier pics? I have not read much about them and having a convertible I would like to stiffen the body/frame and need suggestions.
I've been through those pics before and it's a bummer seeing the motor sitting on several tables. Mark

We're shooting for next Friday. That engine on the stand again is the old one. Even though it looks pretty damn good, lol. By the way, it's for sale with all internals AND the engine stang is included. In case anyone is looking for one for a rebuild or whatever. I believe only 1 piston ring is burnt on cylinder #8. I'll know more by tomorrow when I go to clean the engine bay since the motor is out, perfect time for me.

Yes I have pictures of it with the strut bar on it. Gives the front end more strength to prevent twisting, and of course along with the subframe connectors(which you have since it's a vert) it helps remove any type of major flexing or twisting action.

Ok some more pics of the removal. The 2 piston shots are the one that has the burnt ring, cylinder #8. you can tell it's all crapped up at the bottom of it.








Again this block and all internals are for sale. Basically it'll need an oil pan, piston, connecting rod, ring, and possibly hone or glazed the cylinder wall. Runs fine. Oil pump, water pump are included. Block and parts have approx 45,000 miles on it.
