honestly you will run about the same and 5g on max potential with the 4.6 SOHC..Its makes for a good debate because there is very little info on the swap with a creditable source. My buddy would have answered a few of our questions here if he were able to finish the build. But with the numbers (12 sec in the 1/4) you tell me.

this argument is pointless unless you've done it...my buddy had a 2000 gt with a 5.4 swap 2~years ago..ran in the high 12's w/@280hp 360 ft/lbs of torque. For a $1500 wrecker motor with minor adjustments to the auto tranny, exhaust blah blah blah.....out of pocket expense prolly 5k for all the modifications (minor bolt ons hood etc) imagine what you'd get with F/I (S/C or Turbo) and a good tune
Imagine spending that 5 grand on a blower and being at 400rwhp. Or forging the motor and running a 250 shot. Like I said, imo money can be better well spent elsewhere.

A cammed 5.4 making 266rwhp running 12.94...You can make these numbers and more out of a 4.6. Basically he just spent 5 grand on a 5.4 to get the same power as a 4.6. How is that a good idea?

Lol assuming he goes turbo/sc hes then adding at least anoher 5 grand. So now hes at 10 grand...and can still only push 450rwhp...

Are you not listening? The guy says he has 7k into it. And hes only hitting 270 rwhp? You can do that in a 4.6 with just bolt ons. Of you can spend 4 grand and have 400 rwhp...it's not worth it unless you are willing to spend 15 grand.
