Default input on getting new tips

Im sick of my tiny exhaust tips on my 02 gt so i am thinking about upsizing. I amlooking at some of those big 4" diesel tips that are similar to the stock tip shape. Is 4" too big? also do you think I could get away with bolting or welding them over the exhisting ones to give it a double layer effect?

I already got flows so whats the point of a catback. I got an o/r x pipe on the way. I think Ive narrowed it down to 3.5" because I saw it and looked great. Where is the cheapest place to get them. I DO NOT WANT rolled edges. just same design as stock but bigger. a flat cut would be ok too instead of angled

B/c you dont gain much power without switching to 2.5 inch pipe.
